WORKS DEPARTMENT

The Works Department is one of the departments of the Household of God Church. We are one of the two departments born out of the former Maintenance Department.

We are vested with the responsibility for the general cleanliness and dressing of the Lord’s vineyard apart from the main auditorium.

Our areas of operation include:
The Children’s Church
The Car Parks
The Church Street
The Rest Rooms
The Drainages
The Entire Church Premises

Our Departmental Assignment holds: Mainly on Saturdays from Noon to 3pm.
Meeting/Fellowship: First Saturday of every month at 3pm.

Though the official time for the commencement and end of our activities is set between 12 noon and 3pm, we allow our members who are unable to make the official time, come in earlier or later to perform their duties.

Registered membership is eighty volunteers.

Many of our members are currently employed as full time church staff. Some of the older members who are no longer physically present for departmental activities due to call to other duties, still maintain an invisible presence by coming to our aid when any financial need arises. Our membership cuts across the various strata within the church.

Our mission is to demonstrate the excellency of the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ in that which we have chosen to do, while being fully connected to the calling of The Household of God.

Our desire is to see our people bloom and blossom spiritually, using our departmental service as a channel of worship to the King of kings, as we grow to the full expression of knowing that FAITH without WORKS is dead.

The H O D’s prayer for the department is, 'Behold what manner of love the Father has given unto us, that we should be called the sons of God. The Lord Jesus Himself shall continue to bind us together with His cord of love that is unbreakable. He will establish and increase you, and fully reward your labour of love. May you continually experience peace, abundance and the sound of joy found only in Christ Jesus. Amen.'
