SINGLES' FELLOWSHIP

 
The Singles' Fellowship is a department within the Household of God Church structure which seeks to glorify our Lord Jesus Christ through joint participation in entertainments. It is a veritable channel for members to maximise their potentials as peculiar single people. In Nigeria it is the pioneer Singles' Fellowship.

It is clear from the scriptures that the born again Christian who is not married is unencumbered by domestic and matrimonial demands. He or she is therefore positioned to devote more time and energy to the service and honour of our Lord Jesus Christ in a contextualised spiritual family setting.

Also the gathering of the people of God which is the body of Christ, including and beyond church services is symbolic of the unity in the body. It also provides occasion for the empowerment of the body by the Spirit of God, to the praise of our Lord Jesus Christ and to the glory of God the Father.

In our meetings, much more than entertainment,

  1. The bond of unity in the body of Christ is strengthened,
  2. The individual is more inspired by the Spirit of God for the work of our Lord Jesus Christ,
  3. The entire spiritual cloud of witnesses sees Jesus Christ glorified as Lord

Membership is open to church members who are born again, not married and are above 18years. No further qualifications are needed. Widows and widowers are welcome.
We hold meetings mostly at preannounced weekends for specific programs which provide entertainment, sporting activities and sometimes relevant relationship information peculiar to singles.

Through our programs, our relationships as brothers and sisters within the household of our Lord Jesus Christ is extended and reinforced beyond the formality of regular church services. Past programmes include Village Forum, Battle of the Sexes, Household Olympics, Boat Cruises and Parties. 
Our vision is to maximize our potentials and our underlying operational principles are creativity, decency and orderliness.
